Starting Therapy Doesn't Have to Feel Uncertain.
Answers to some of the most common questions about therapy, working together and getting started.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. You can reach out by completing the contact form on my website, calling, or sending an email. After I receive your inquiry, I'll contact you to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. If we decide we're a good fit, we'll schedule your initial diagnostic evaluation and you'll receive electronic intake paperwork to complete before your first appointment.
What can I expect in the consultation call?
The complimentary consultation is an opportunity for us to briefly connect and determine whether my practice is the right fit for your needs. During our conversation, you'll have the opportunity to share what brings you to therapy, ask questions about my approach, and learn more about the services I provide. We can also discuss scheduling, fees, and what the therapy process typically looks like.
While this consultation is not a therapy session and no treatment is provided, it can help you feel more informed and confident as you decide whether to move forward.
Do you offer in-person appointments?
At this time, all sessions are provided virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to anyone located in the state of New Jersey.
What are your fees?

Credit/debit cards

Do you accept insurance?
Nest & Nurture Behavioral Health is a private-pay practice and is not in network with insurance plans.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I'm happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan, so I encourage you to contact your insurance carrier directly to learn more about your benefits.
You may find it helpful to ask the following questions:
- Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health services?
-What percentage of the cost of each session will my plan reimburse?
-Do I have an out-of-network deductible, and if so, how much has been met?
-Is there a limit to the number of therapy sessions covered each year?
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments canceled with less than the required notice, or missed appointments, will be subject to the full session fee unless otherwise discussed.
Am I charged for missed group sessions?
DBT Skills Groups are structured, skills-based programs in which each session builds upon previous material. To support group consistency and reserve your place, participants are charged for their scheduled weekly group regardless of attendance.
If you are unable to attend a session, your reserved space will remain available, and payment is still required. While every effort will be made to provide any available handouts or homework materials, missed sessions cannot be refunded or credited toward future groups.
Regular attendance and practice are strongly encouraged, as consistency is an important part of developing and applying DBT skills in everyday life.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of their healthcare services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy. If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill.
A Good Faith Estimate will be provided before your first scheduled appointment or upon request.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. As you make progress, we'll collaborate on a schedule that best supports your goals.

DBT emphasizes both acceptance and meaningful change, helping clients build a life that feels worth living.

No. I provide psychotherapy only. If medication may be beneficial, I'm happy to collaborate with your psychiatrist, primary care provider, or help connect you with a trusted prescriber.
